What this site is

InsightCVE (insightcve.com) publishes technical analysis of publicly disclosed software vulnerabilities (CVEs). Content is written by Bhargav Hede with the help of an automated research pipeline that reads public sources (CVE records, NVD, CIRCL, vendor advisories) and is reviewed for accuracy before publication.

Information we collect

  • Comments. If you leave a comment on an article, WordPress stores the name, email address and comment content you submit. Email is never published or shared.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard web-server logs (IP address, requested pages, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention. No analytics or advertising trackers are embedded; we do not profile visitors.
  • No cookies for tracking. The only cookies this site sets are optional preferences (such as your light/dark theme choice) and the session cookie required if you log in. We do not use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.

What we do with data

We do not sell, rent or share any visitor data. Comment data is retained indefinitely as part of the article discussion it belongs to; ask for deletion via the comment form and we will remove it. Log data is retained by the hosting provider under its own retention policy.

Accuracy and corrections

Vulnerability details come from public primary sources (CVE program, NVD, CNA and vendor advisories) and are labeled as unknown when a source does not provide them. If you spot an error in an article, tell us in the comments on that article — corrections are applied with a revision history.

Responsible use

Technical content is published for security research, authorized testing and defensive purposes only. See the About page for the full policy.

Contact form: when you submit a message via our contact form we store the name, email address, message, subject and (for abuse prevention) the sender IP address. This data is used only to read and reply to your inquiry and is never shared or sold.
